GRIFFIN NOTEBOOK
The Griffins started the year with back-to-back home victories over No. 16 Jamestown (N.D.) and The Master's (Calif.). This is the second straight year the team has started 2-0 after not accomplishing that feat since 2008 prior to last season. The win over Jamestown gave the Griffins a second straight victory over ranked opponents dating back to last season.

The Griffins took 23 shots in the first two games and they put 10 of those on goal. They were also the recipient of seven corner kicks and suffered 21 fouls. The opposition took just eight shots in the two contests with five on them on frame. Westminster allowed five corner kicks and committed 21 fouls.

AGAINST THE OPPOSITION
Westminster has an all-time record of 1-7 against Bellevue. The Griffins have gone 1-2 in games played in Salt Lake City in the series. Bellevue won the meeting last season by a score in 3-0 in Nebraska. The last meeting at Dumke was a 3-1 win by the Griffins in 2011.

The Griffins will face Midland for the first time on Sunday.

Monday will mark the fourth meeting all-time between the Griffins and MidAmerica Nazarene. Westminster leads 2-1 having won two straight, including a 2-1 win in double overtime the last time the Pioneers came to Dumke Field in 2009.

SECOND HALF WINNERS
Westminster tallied both game-winners in the second half of last week's action. After playing to a scoreless first half against Jamestown, Ryan Smith scored the winner in the 75th minute. Against The Master's the game was even at 1-1 at the half before Manuel Duenas notched the winner in the 67th minute.

ROLLING AT DUMKE
With two wins at home to start the year, Westminster continues its dominance of games played at Dumke Field. Since moving to the facility in 2005, the Griffins have compiled a 52-16-4 (.750) record on the turf. They have never had a losing record at the facility and over the past four years the Griffins are 22-6-1 (.776) at home.

SCORING FROM SMITH
Senior Ryan Smith has started the 2013 season right where he left off the 2012 campaign. Smith scored one goal in each of the first two games and he is currently second in the conference in goals. The forward led the team with nine goals and 21 points last season. He entered the season with 12 career goals and his game-winner versus Jamestown was his seventh all-time.

HELP FROM DUENAS
Junior Manuel Duenas notched his second career goal in the team's 2-1 win over The Master's. For Duenas, it was his first career game-winner and came on his first shot of the season. Last season, Duenas was tied for the team lead with three assists and he has posted eight assists since joining the Griffins in 2011.
