SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College men's soccer concludes the 2012 regular season on Saturday with a game at Cal State San Marcos (Calif.). The game will begin at 2 p.m. at the Mangrum Track & Soccer Field on the San Marcos campus. Live stats will be available for the game courtesy of the CSUSM athletics department.

Westminster enters the final game with a 10-5-2 overall record after going 0-1-1 in Montana last weekend. They finished Frontier Conference play at 1-2-1 after a 1-1 tie at Rocky Mountain (Mont.) last Friday and a 1-0 loss at Great Falls (Mont.) on Sunday. The Griffins are 2-4-2 away from home this season.
With 10 wins on the season, Westminster has now recorded at least nine wins in seven consecutive years. This is the first 10-win season since 2009 and the 10th all-time. They have also secured a second straight winning season and they haven't had a losing season since 2005 when they went 8-9-2.
The Griffins have been good at holding a lead this season and are 6-0 when they hold a halftime advantage. That recorded extends to 9-1-2 when they are ahead or tied after 45 minutes. Westminster is also 7-2 on the year when they attempt more shots than the opposition.
The team is averaging 1.53 goals per game and has outscored their opponents 26-20 this season. The Griffins have 17 assists on those 26 goals and have scored on three penalty kicks. They are attempting 13 shots per game and have 94 shots on goal. They defense allows 9.5 shots per game and 86 shots on goal.
Ryan Smith leads the Griffins with nine goals and 121 points. Smith has attempted 41 shots and put 18 of those on goal while also being a perfect 3-for-3 on penalty kicks. Smith is tied with

Manuel Duenas for the team-lead with three assists each.
Jace Maxfield is second on the team with three goals and six points.

Marcus Brown and
Alex Roegiers have scored two goals apiece. In total, Westminster has had 11 different players score this season.
Liam Harry has posted two assists with six others recording one assist.
Damir Sabanovic has a 5-4-2 record in 12 starts in goal. He has a 1.24 goals-against-average with 45 saves and four shutouts.
Nathan Young has made 20 saves with a 0.90 GAA. He has a 5-1 record this year with one shutout and has twice been named the Frontier Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Against the Opposition
The Griffins are undefeated in two meetings with Cal State San Marcos. The two haven't played since 2008 when the Griffins claimed a 3-2 win in San Marcos. The other meeting was a 2-1 win by Westminster in Salt Lake City in 2007.
