SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College women's soccer team won its fourth straight game with a 4-0 decision over Great Falls on Monday afternoon at Dumke Field.  The Griffins got two goals apiece from Heather Hillam and Sarah Swenson in the victory.

The win improves Westminster to 4-1 overall this season and they are now a perfect 2-0 in Frontier Conference action.  Great Falls slips to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in league.

Hillam tallied the first Griffins goal in the 15th minute when she dribbled around two defenders and then buried her shot into the net from six yards out.  It was the first goal of the year for the second leading scorer in school history.  It was also her eighth career game-winning goal which is the most of any player at Westminster.

Swenson got into the act in the 17th minute as she finished a cross from Margo Hickman.  Swenson's first goal of the year made it 2-0 for the Griffins.  Hillam would tally her 16th career goal in the 37th minute as she picked up a ball from Alyssa Hill and fired a shot that the UGF keeper misplayed and carried into the net with her.

Swenson would strike from a tough angle in the 52nd minute to record her 10th career goal.  She appeared to cross the ball from the left side of the field, but it took a hop and found its way into the net for the score.

Westminster outshot the visiting Argos 16-2 in the contest and held a 9-0 advantage in shots on goal.  UGF didn't even record a shot until the 53rd minute and didn't get any shots over the final 35 minute of the contest.  The Griffins took five corner kicks and suffered four fouls.

Hillam attempted a team-leading five shots while putting two on frame.  Swenson got away three shots and put them all on target.  Hickman failed to score for the first time this season and had her school record scoring streak snapped at four games despite getting away two shots.

Dayna Winter-Nolte earned her fourth win of the year while playing the first 45 minutes.  Jessie Eiting played the second half for her first career action.  Neither was forced to make a save in combining for the shutout.

Westminster will now head to Orange Beach, Ala. to face two teams ranked in the NAIA preseason top 13.  They open against No. 11 William Carey (Miss.) on Friday, Sept. 9 before facing the University of Mobile (Ala.) on Saturday, Sept. 10.
