Box Score DENVER, Colo. – The Westminster women's lacrosse team picked up two RMWLL wins in Colorado on Friday evening. Westminster defeated Northern Colorado 16-2 in the first game of the day. They then picked up an 18-8 win over Denver in the night cap.
Westminster is now 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in league games. This is the best start in school history.
Six different players found the net in the game with Northern Colorado.
Kaicee Beal led everyone with four goals while
Sage Johnson,
Lindsey Mark, and
Dechie Sumampong scored three apiece. Beal, Mark, and Sumampong also posted one assist each.
Beal exploded with a school record eight goals in the game with Denver. Sumampong and Ferrell went for three goals apiece. Beal added an assist and
Regan Lelli made 15 saves between the pipes.
Westminster will now return home for a double header at Dumke Field. The home opener is slated for 2 p.m. against Colorado Mines on Saturday, March 4. The second game will begin at 4:30 p.m. against Pepperdine.
