WOMEN'S RESULTS
BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Westminster cross country teams opened the 2010 season on Saturday at the Montana State Invitational. The Westminster men's team finished 11th in the field with a combine score of 286 points. They averaged a time of 28:51 and posted a combined time of 2:24:17. The women finished 12th overall and seventh among non-NCAA DI teams.
Oliver Lange led the men with his 49th-place finish. Lange completed the five mile course at Bridger Golf Course in 27:56 to earn 41 points.
Andrew Archer ran 28:08 to finish in the 56th position and was followed in the 79th position by
Jef Marsicola with a time of 29:09.
Tyler Gregg posted a time of 29:23 to finish in the 81st position.

David Perales,
Ian Asay, and
Romnick Poindexter completed the field for the Griffins.
For the women,
Chelsey Fraser was the top finishing Griffin. Fraser completed the three mile course with a time of 20:34 to place 82nd overall.
Katrina England finished 83rd with her time of 20:37 while
Sarah Martin finished 88th with her time of 20:51.
Ellie Layman was 95th behind a time of 21:12 and Allison Perkins placed 104th at 22:59.
Kara Peters and
Lexi Almberg went 23:05 and 25:53 respectively to round out the Griffins.
The meet featured five men's teams from the NCAA and four Frontier Conference school. Great Falls was the top placing men's team from the Frontier with a sixth-place result. Montana State won the men's event with Patrick Casey of MSU finishing as the top individual.
The women's side had six NCAA teams and four from the Frontier. Carroll led the Frontier schools with a seventh-place result. The University of Montana claimed the women's title and Kara DeWalt from Montana was the individual champion with her time of 16:47.
Westminster will return to action on September 25 at the Bob Firman Invitational. That meet will be held at Eagle Island State Park in Boise Idaho.
