Box Score 2 DENVER, Colo. – The Westminster women's lacrosse team split games with Colorado School of Mines and University of Denver over the weekend. Westminster defeated Mines 18-4 and dropped a 20-8 decision against Denver. These games completed the regular season for the Griffins and they finished the second season in school history at 5-8.
The Griffins jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead over Mines in less than eight minutes. After Mines got back to 10-4, Westminster scored the final eight goals of the game for the victory.
Kaicee Beal finished the game with six goals and collected three ground balls.
Megan Miller finished with three goals. Sage West added two goals and two assists while
Jessie Mulvey recorded three saves for the victory.
Against Denver, Westminster hung around early and was tied a 2-2 with 21:28 remaining in the first half. Denver then outscored the Griffins 9-2 the remainder of the half to put the game out of reach.
Beal added another five goals in the game to give her 51 on the season.
Carson Chambers,
Lindsey Mark, and
Erika Rebentisch also scored for the Griffins in the game.
Erin Foslid grabbed a team-best four ground balls and Mulvey made five saves.
