LEWISTON, Idaho – The Westminster men's and women's cross country teams each placed fifth at the Warrior Invitational on Saturday. The men's team finished with 143 points and an average time of 28:42 over the 8K course at Hells Gate State Park. The women earned 142 points and ran the 5K course in an average time of 20:44.
Andrew Archer led the men's team with a 24th-place finish with a time of 27:11. He was followed closely by
Oliver Lange in 25th position behind his 27:17 time.
Jef Marsicola finish with a time of 28:06 to place 36th while
Tyler Gregg finished 49th at 30:22.
David Perales and
Ian Asay finished 51st and 52nd with times of 30:38 and 30:47 respectively.
Romnick Poindexter rounded out the men's team with a time of 36:03 for a 55th-place finish.
Ellie Layman ran a personal best 20:20 to earn a 33rd-place finish and lead the Griffins.
Chelsey Fraser was 34th with her time of 20:21 while
Katrina England went 20:27 to finish 39th.
Kara Peters placed 46th after running 21:01 with
Cassie Mulkey finishing 46th with her time of 21:35.
Lexi Almberg finished 55th to round out the Westminster team behind her time of 25:55.
Westminster will now prepare for the Frontier Conference Championships in Great Falls, Montana on November 6.
