Salt Lake City, UT - Recently graduated Griffin, Luke Merrill, has signed with Hartford Athletic for the 2023 season in the USL Championship.    

"I am so happy for Luke.  He absolutely deserves this opportunity.  His drive, work rate, and passion for the game are extremely high and to make it to the next level you need to have these attributes." Westminster's Men's Soccer Head Coach Josh Pittman said. "His teammates here at Westminster are so excited to see what he accomplishes, and I wish him nothing but the best!" 

During his time at Westminster Merrill was named first-team all-RMAC and named Team MVP,  had a career-high in goals where he scored two goals on Oct. 22 at Fort Lewis College, and ended his career with 10 goals in his two seasons with the Griffins including seven goals this past year.  

"It's a special moment for me to sign my first professional contract with Hartford Athletic," said Merrill on his latest signing on Hartford's website.
