Biography

Kayla Sato is from Mililani, Hawaii, and attended Mililani High School, where she was a four-year varsity player, served as captain for two years, was a three-year OIA team member, and earned HYSA All-State honors as a senior.

She is majoring in Public Health. Sato chose Westminster because she loves Salt Lake City and wanted to contribute to a program immediately; after initially attending Utah State, the players at Westminster helped rebuild her confidence and believed in her.

Family: parents Darrin and Stacie Sato.

Her goal after college is to own her own business helping young athletes become the best versions of themselves, training them in injury prevention, rehab, and overall fitness and wellbeing.

Favorite athlete: Messi.
