Tournament Breakdown
Round 1
Westminster opened play at Bellingham GCC with a 10-over 298 as a team, anchored by a strong start from Krew Labrum. The sophomore carded an even-par 72, the highlight of which was an eagle on the par-5 1st hole — a 467-yard test that Labrum attacked right out of the gate. Hayden Howell and Jake DeBry both stayed within reach with matching 3-over 75s, while Wyatt Toney rounded out the counting score with a 76 to complete a tightly bunched top four.
Round 2
The Griffins built on their opening round, trimming two shots off their team total to card an 8-over 296. Labrum was the story of the day yet again, following up his Round 1 eagle with a 2-under 70 — the low round for Westminster across both days of competition and one of the better individual scores in the field. Howell matched his own consistency with another even-par 72, while Toney (74) and Nic Jensen (80) rounded out the counting total as the Griffins held steady heading into what was supposed to be the final round.
Final Round — Canceled
Heavy overnight rain left the Bellingham GCC course unplayable, and tournament officials canceled the final round, locking the event in after 36 holes rather than the scheduled 54.
Across the two rounds that were completed, Westminster finished at 594 (+18), good for 9th place in a 15-team field that included host Western Washington, which ran away with the team title at 14-under par. Colorado Christian took second at 7-under, with a tightly packed group of teams — including UBC Okanagan, Simon Fraser, Chico State, and British Columbia — rounding out the top six.
