SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster University men's golf has been named a recipient of the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The Griffins were recognized as an All-Academic Team, one of 39 NCAA Division II programs to earn the distinction with a team GPA of 3.0 or above.

A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award in 2025-26. The honor recognizes programs that demonstrate excellence in the classroom alongside their commitment to competition.

The recognition comes on the heels of individual academic honors for the program, with Hayden Howell and Nic Jensen recently named 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, and Aiden Pavey and Jensen earning First Team Academic All-RMAC honors.
