First Half
Colorado Mesa struck first on an Avery Irlbeck goal before Jordan Williamson answered on a free position shot to tie it at 1-1. The Mavericks retook the lead on a Courteney Murray goal, but Olivia Petrosky quickly evened it at 2-2. A late man-up goal from Sadie Chappuis gave Colorado Mesa a 3-2 edge after the first quarter. The Mavericks extended their lead to 4-2 early in the second on a Carson Dickey man-up goal, but Williamson cut it back to one with a man-down goal. Colorado Mesa responded with three straight — a Courtney Havel man-up free position goal, a Devon Morris man-up goal, and another from Havel — to go up 7-3. Lexi Segaline scored with one second left in the half to send Westminster into the break trailing 7-4.
Second Half
Colorado Mesa pulled away in the third quarter, opening with back-to-back goals from Sofia Chock to lead 9-4. Williamson answered to make it 9-5, but the Mavericks scored four straight — Morris, Havel, Cassidy Keykal, and Morris again on a man-up — to close the quarter ahead 13-5. The fourth quarter saw Colorado Mesa outscore Westminster 5-1, with Havel finishing with two more goals in the frame. Williamson added a late free position goal for Westminster's lone score, but the Mavericks closed it out 18-6.
