Westminster's Marianna Dick Named IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Westminster University defender Marianna Dick has been named IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week following a dominant performance in the Griffins' 10-8 season-opening victory over Missouri Western on February 20.

Dick matched the program's single-game record with six caused turnovers—marking the fourth time in her career she has reached that total. She currently leads NCAA Division II in caused turnovers per game and has helped Westminster rank No. 2 nationally in the team category. Dick also posted seven ground balls in the contest, placing her second in Division II in ground balls per game. Known for her disciplined, high-pressure defense, she consistently disrupts opponents while limiting fouls. Beyond the box score, Dick is a key piece of Westminster's transition game and helped the team achieve an 85% clear rate in the win.
