Romeoville, IL – The Westminster men's lacrosse team wrapped up its two-game road trip on a high note, securing an 18-10 victory over Davenport University on Sunday afternoon. The win capped off a 1-1 weekend for the Griffins after a narrow loss to No. 11 Lewis.
The Griffins jumped ahead early, with Camden Stanley netting the game's first goal just over a minute in. By halftime, Westminster had built a 12-8 lead, thanks to key contributions from Daxton Jensen, Jacob Mendez, and Roman Nalder. Davenport pulled within five in the third quarter, but Westminster pulled away with a dominant fourth, outscoring the Panthers 4-1 down the stretch.
Westminster's offense was firing on all cylinders, scoring in every quarter. Luke Sillstrop led the way with four goals and two assists, while Sean Gragnola recorded a hat trick, including two goals in the fourth quarter, to seal the victory.
