Buckeye, AZ – The Westminster Griffins men's golf team delivered a strong showing at The Stack Cougar-Burro Collegiate, finishing in third place after a stellar final round at -11.
Leading the way for Westminster was
Nic Jensen, who capped off the tournament with an impressive seven birdies in Round 3 to secure a T-9 finish at -2 overall.
Hayden Howell also finished T-12 at -1, rounding out a solid three-day performance.
Head Coach
Alec Williams on the three-day event, "It was encouraging to see the team come together like we knew they could. They have the talent to compete with anyone in the country and they showed that this week. We look forward to continuing the momentum moving into the conference."
Other notable finishes included:
Xavier De La Rosa – 21st (+4 overall)
Andrew Ahlstrom – 23rd (+5 overall, -2 in Round 3)
Anthony Goodson – Finished at -1 in the final round with two birdies
With momentum on their side, the Griffins now set their sights on the RMAC Championships, taking place April 20-22 in Henderson, NV, at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
