The Westminster Griffins earned a decisive 3–0 victory over Black Hills State on Friday afternoon at Dumke Field, controlling play from start to finish to improve to 7-2-5 overall and 4-2-4 in RMAC play.
The Griffins jumped ahead early when Kim Hendrickson converted a penalty kick in the 13th minute. Ashley Cardozo doubled the lead in the 34th minute, and Kara Dickey capped the scoring with a goal in the 41st minute, assisted by Gracie East.
Westminster outshot the Yellow Jackets 12–7 (7–4 on goal) and held a 4–3 edge in corner kicks. The Griffins' defense was dominant, allowing no goals for the second time in their last three matches.
The Griffins return to action next week as they continue their late-season push in RMAC play.
