Originally scheduled for Thursday, the game was rescheduled to Friday due to the weather in the area.

The Griffins demonstrated their dominance as Merrit McMahon netted the first two goals of the game in the opening period. Building on their momentum, the Griffins maintained a commanding lead throughout the game, entering halftime with a comfortable 7-1 advantage.
