Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster Griffins Women's Basketball team opened their holiday tournament on Friday afternoon but fell short against Seattle Pacific University, losing 75-65 at Behnken Field House. Despite a strong effort led by Za'kkria Robinson, who scored a team-high 19 points, the Griffins couldn't overcome Seattle Pacific's balanced attack.
Maunayia Harrigfeld recorded a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds while also contributing three assists and four blocks. Olivia Tausinga chipped in nine points, and Abby Conlee added eight points and two rebounds while playing 39 minutes in the effort.
Seattle Pacific was paced by Layne Kearns, who led all scorers with 16 points, while Hunter Beirne added 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Schuyler Berry also made an impact with 12 points and four rebounds for the Falcons.
