Women's Golf ends their two days at San Marcos Shootout

Temecula, CA -Halle Parkin (+11) finished in a tie for 13th and Tuesday Epperson (+16) finished tied for 29th as the Westminster women's golf (+74) came in 10th as a team at the San Marcos Shootout at Temecula Creek Inn.

"Halle's round one performance was fun to watch. She found a good flow state and continues to make little adjustments that put her in contention," said head coach Denise Larson. "I'm really proud of her and excited for the rest of the season."

Parkin shot a 2-over par first round 74 and a 81 in round two. Epperson had rounds of 78 and 82.

Simon Fraser U. (+34) emerged as the overall team winner and Alli Kim of Point Loma took home the individual title (+2).

"The snowy weather this spring has caused us to prepare for tournaments in different ways. Particularly we've worked on our mental game," Larson said. "While our team scores aren't quite consistently where we'd like them yet, I am pleased with the progress we are making and the mental strengths we are showing."

Westminster will turn its attention to its next stop this spring season at the Sonoma State Invite on April 3and 4.
