Westminster Griffins Golfers Excel in HPU Sharks Shootout
Honolulu, HI - Waikoloa Beach Golf Course - The Westminster University Men's and Women's Golf teams showcased their skills and determination at the HPU Sharks Shootout in beautiful Hawaii.
Men's Team: The Men's Golf team from Westminster University delivered an impressive performance during the HPU Sharks Shootout, held at the scenic Waikoloa Beach Golf Course. Despite fierce competition, the team secured a respectable 15th place in the tournament.
Bryson Hirabayashi led the way for the Griffins, demonstrating his exceptional golfing prowess by ending his rounds tied for the 28th position, an impressive feat considering the tough competition. His score stood at +4.
Nic Jensen, another pivotal member of the team, displayed consistent and reliable play. He secured the 46th position with a score of +9.
Zach Dallimore, a valuable asset to the team, showcased his golfing talent by finishing the tournament at +12, earning the 56th spot on the leaderboard.
Women's Team: The Women's Golf team from Westminster University also embraced the challenge of the HPU Sharks Shootout, showcasing their dedication to the sport. Despite the tough competition, they secured the 16th position on the leaderboard.
Halle Parkin played a pivotal role for the women's team, leading the way with an impressive performance. She tied for the 39th position with a score of +12.
Tuesday Epperson, another talented member of the women's team, put forth a solid performance, ending her rounds with a score of +17 and securing the 68th position.
Following the HPU Sharks Shootout, both teams proceeded to the University of Hawaii at Hilo Dennis Rose Invitational. In this subsequent event, Bryson Hirabyashi led the Men's team with a score of +2, followed by Zach Dallimore at +4, Andrew Ahlstrom at +5, Nic Jensen at +9, and Hayden Howell at +10. The Men's team managed to secure a respectable tied-for-10th place in the event.
The Women's team, led by Halle Parkin with a score of +12, Tuesday Epperson at +15, Jailee Snow at +17, Kyra Sponenburgh at +18, and Elle DeMond at +19, wrapped up the event with a 17th-place finish.
