– The Westminster men's lacrosse reached a new season high in goals scored as the Griffins defeated Adams State 22-3 in a conference victory.
Griffins started the game off fast and furious with
Easton Albert scoring the first goal of the game at 14:12 mark, quickly after
Spencer Whinery scored his first goal of the game at 13:34. Joseph Calentano, Merrit McMahon,
Dylan Brauer and
Andoni Odencrantz all added a goal of two in the first as the Griffins took the 9-0 lead after 15 minutes of play and the Griffins never looked back.
Mike Spaeth added his first goal of the game as the Griffins had the double digit lead at 10-0, but the Grizzlies added back-to-back goals to close the gap to single digits. A total of four goals were scored in the 2nd as McMahon added his second goal of the first half.
Second half started as the Griffins continued their offensive attack as Westminster added the first five goals of the half and took 17-3 lead which included two more goals for Odencrantz. Jacob Austin added his first goal of the game alongside with his teammates,
Sean Gragnola, Zennon Laforce (scored twice,) and Thiago Achcar-Winkel in the victory.
The victory marked back-to-back wins for Westminster over Adams State as they outscored the Grizzlies 45-5 in those two games.

Colorado State University Pueblo on Sunday with face-off scheduled for 11 A.M.
