GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Westminster Griffins are currently on a three-game road trip in Colorado, as tonight they were in Grand Junction with the second best team in conference play, Colorado Mesa Mavericks.
Eden Freiberg was able to score the lone goal for the Griffins, as the Mavericks took home the win 20-1.
The Mavericks offensive was prepared to attack from start to finish as they totaled 52 shots in the game. The Griffins defense held the Maverick to 8 points after the first half came to a close, but they added another 12 in the second half of action.
Hannah Bargeron played 45 minutes of action as she had 11 saves, before Gabriella Cheminan took a chance in the net saving one save of her own.
The Griffins are now tied for fourth place in the RMAC standings as Westminster has three games left to play.
