Pueblo, CO - Late in the second half the Westminster Griffins had the five-point lead 62-57, but a late surge by CSU-Pueblo held the Griffins to just four points as they were able to fight off a pesky Griffins team at home in the 70-66.
Trey Farrer was the leading scorer in the loss for the Griffins with 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to cap off his night with a double-double on the stat sheet, where the senior Taylor Miller was the other scorer in double-figures on the night where he dropped 14 points and tossed out seven assists in Colorado.
Once again, Westminster had a tough time knocking down the three-point shot as they were able to hit 5 threes on the night.
De'Shaun Cooper and Lian Ramiro were two of the four players who scored in double digits on the night and each player ended the night with 15 points.
Story of the night was the shooting at the free-throw line as the Griffins ended the night 9-11 from the line, but the Thunderwolves made 18 of their 24 attempts at the line.
