COLORADO SPRINGS - Westminster women's basketball (11-5, 10-2 RMAC) seniors
Sarah McGinley and
Ashley Greenwood were each named RMAC First Team Academic All-Conference as announced by the league office on Monday.
Both seniors rank top five in the conference in field goal percentage and points per game and McGinley's .458 3PT field goal percentage is the sixth-best in all of Division II. McGinley, a sociology major from Fort Collins, Colo., is a two-time second team all-conference honoree and was named First Team All-RMAC for Westminster last season. She currently ranks fifth in the conference in scoring (14.9 ppg) and is first in the RMAC in field goal percentage (.548).
Greenwood, a native of St. George, Utah and a public health major at Westminster, is the team's leading scorer and is third in the RMAC with 18.1 ppg, and she also ranks second shooting percentage (.495) and is third in the RMAC from the free throw line (.788).
Greenwood has a pair of double-doubles on the season and has tallied four 20-point games while McGinley also has four 20-point nights on the campaign. McGinley went a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor which included 5-of-5 from three in last Monday's win at Chadron State.
Following a 2-0 weekend at home and three consecutive RMAC wins, Westminster will host a pair of midweek contests this weekend beginning with Colorado Mesa tomorrow night tipping off at 5 p.m.
