SALT LAKE CITY—The Westminster men's lacrosse team celebrated eight seniors with a 21-2 win over Adams State on Friday night. The Griffins improve to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Ian Nadel were celebrated for their careers before playing their final regular season home game on Dumke Field.
Westminster ran away with the game seeing goals from 14 players and 8 players recording at least one assist. The Griffins out shot the Grizzlies 46 to 18 with 33 shots on goal. The team led 10-0 at half and scored 11 second half goals to finish the game.
Andoni Odencrantz led the offensive assault against the Grizzlies with six points from one goal and five assists.
Easton Albert had five points from five goals and
Merritt McMahon scored twice and had an assist for three points. Five others had two points and 10 recorded a point from a goal or an assist.
The defense shut the Grizzlies out in the first, second and fourth periods. They didn't allow a goal until eight minutes into the third period. They caused 11 turnovers and picked up 22 more ground balls than Adams State with 56.
Seven Griffins picked up three or more ground balls with
Hagan Buchanana and
Quinn Lewis leading with six each.
Chance Beutler led the team with two caused turnovers with nine others recording one.

Jacob Miller had a quiet night. The pair faced 18 total shots with Penn making four saves and Miller making three.
Westminster went 18-27 on faceoffs with Buchanana winning 15 of 19 and Roman Pepelyeav winning 3 of 6.
The Griffins will finish the season at Colorado Mesa on Friday, Apr. 30, at 6 pm.
