Women's Basketball Rides Four-Game Win Streak Into Matchup with 23-Ranked CSU Pueblo

Westminster women's basketball has won four-straight and will host CSU Pueblo on Thursday night at the Behnken Field House.

SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster women's basketball (5-3, 4-0 RMAC), riding a four-game win streak to begin conference play, will host No. 23 CSU Pueblo (7-2, 3-0 RMAC) on Thursday night beginning at 5 p.m. in the Behnken Field House.

- Thursday's games will be hosted at the Behnken Field House on the campus of Westminster College. General admission into all games is $8.

- Westminster has won four in a row to begin conference play with double-digit wins over Chadron State and Black Hills State last weekend.

Last Week Recap:
- Sarah McGinley and Ashley Greenwood combined for 43 points and Abby Mangum finished at +20 in the plus/minus column to help Westminster beat Chadron State, 77-59, on Friday night.
- Against Chadron State, Westminster owned a 20-8 advantage in the paint and Hunter Krebs led the Griffins with 15 first-half points. Westminster built a 14-point halftime lead and led by as many as 20 in the second half of their fourth-straight home opening win.
- Westminster had four starters and five total players in double figures in scoring and the Griffins held Black Hills State to just 25 percent fg shooting for the game in an 85-49 win on Saturday night.
- Saturday's win was the Griffins' second-straight over Black Hills State and their largest win since a 36-point win back in January of 2019.
- Freshman guard Rae Falatea had her best shooting night of the season, going 4-of-7 from three to finish with 12 points against Black Hills State on Saturday.
- Lyndzi Rich came off the bench against her former team and went 7-of-9 overall to finish with 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds.

- #42 Hunter Krebs

    - Fell just one rebound shy of a double-double on Friday, finishing with 17 points and nine rebounds with three blocks and one steal.
    - Helped hold Chadron State to just 39 percent shooting and 4-of-16 in the fourth quarter to close out the win.  Westminster owned a 42-30 points in the paint advantage in Friday night's win over Chadron State.
    - Against Black Hills State, Krebs helped the Griffins hold the Yellow Jackets to just 14-of-57 (24.6 percent) shooting overall and just 16 points in the paint.  Yellow Jackets' forward Haylee Weathersby was held to just 2-of-13 shooting on Saturday as Westminster posted its largest win since January of 2019.
- #24 Sarah McGinley
  - Scored a season-high 22 points on 10-of-11 shooting against Chadron State on Friday.
  - Reached double figures for an eighth-straight game to begin the season against Black Hills State, going 5-of-6 overall and 2-of-3 from behind the arc to help Westminster beat the Yellow Jackets. Added seven assists against Black Hills State and averaged 4.5 RPG on the weekend.

- CSU Pueblo currently leads the RMAC in points per game (72.6) and are third in opponents' points per game (55.6).

- Westminster never trailed after the first minute of play in a 74-64 win over CSU Pueblo this past February.
