SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster women's basketball (1-1) will make its second non-conference road trip of the young season as it travels to Ellensburg, Wash., this weekend to take on Central Washington (3-1) on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. (MDT) and Seattle Pacific University (2-3) on Saturday at 3 p.m. (MDT).

Central Washington at a neutral site in Nampa, Idaho to begin the

first quarter of Friday's game vs Central Washington and closed the game with a
9-of-15 (60 percent) fourth quarter as a team.

Ashley Greenwood put up the
first Westminster double-double of the season with a
22-point,
12-rebound night to go along with four assists on 9-of-14 shooting that included 2-of-2 from three-point range.
- Westminster
starters accounted for
76 of the team's
78 in Friday's win over Central Washington as the Griffins finished
30-of-58 (52 percent) shooting and
12-of-17 at the free throw line.
- The Griffins were held to just two points in the third quarter of Saturday's 61-54 loss at Northwest Nazarene.

Hunter Krebs started her
100th career game on Friday as the Griffins starters from last week now account for 185 starts collectively.

- Central Washington lost 78-71 to Westminster last Friday in its first loss of the season.
- CWU held on late for a one-point win its season opener over Stanislaus and defeated Cal State East Bay, 68-55, the following night in the CCAA-GNAC Crossover.
- The Wildcats had their 2020 season canceled and went 0-2 in a pair of March contests at Western Washington.
- Central Washington went 19-11 and 13-7 in the GNAC in 2019-20 and advanced to the second round of the GNAC Tournament where they fell to top-seeded Alaska Anchorage.
- After last week's seven-point win, Westminster is 2-0 all-time against CWU with the Griffins winning the first-ever game, 70-60, back in Nov. of 2019.

- Seattle Pacific has run into a three-game losing skid after starting the year 2-0.
- SPU lost 67-61 last Saturday after a 71-50 loss at Cal State San Marcos on Friday afternoon.
- SPU went 7-7 last season after the GNAC season was canceled. The Falcons went 8-20 overall and 6-14 in the conference in their last full season in 2019-20.
2020-21 Year in Review:
- Westminster had its most successful postseason run in just the third year being eligible for NCAA Championship competition last season in which it advanced to the NCAA DII Women's Basketball West Regional Final where it fell 53-48 to Azusa Pacific.
- The Griffins defeated RMAC foes Black Hills State and Western Colorado in the first and second rounds of the 2021 NCAA Tournament to secure their first-ever appearance in the sweet 16.
- The Griffins won six games by double digits last season including a 68-52 win over Western Colorado in the NCAA Western Regional second round.
-Â On an abbreviated, conference-only schedule in 2020-21, Westminster went 11-4 with a 5-2 home record at the Behnken Field House.
- Westminster had two First Team All-RMAC performers, Hunter Krebs and Sarah McGinley, one second teamer, Mariah Martin, and one honorable mention all-conference, Abby Mangum.
