Westminster Heads to Colorado for Two-Game Road Trip
After a strong opening weekend of conference play, Westminster men's soccer (4-2-0, 2-0-0 RMAC) heads to Colorado to play University of Colorado – Colorado Springs (UCCS) this Friday, September 27 at 6 p.m. and Regis University of Sunday, September 29 at 12 p.m.

Scouting the Griffins
Danny Darelli has five goals and Max Bingman has four to lead the Westminster offense. Six different players have scored for the Griffins this season and the team is averaging over two goals per game. Westminster has recorded shutouts in four of its six games and is allowing less than one goal per game.

Scouting the Opposition
UCCS (1-3-1, 0-2-0 RMAC) has lost three straight, including its first two conference games last weekend. The Mountain Lions have, however, scored three goals in two of their last three games after having scored only one total in their first two games. Alex VonHolle leads the team with two goals and two assists.

Week in Review
The Griffins opened RMAC play with a pair of victories over Dixie State on the road and Colorado Christian at home. Darelli put home a penalty kick in the 98th minute to give the Griffins the victory over the Trailblazers. Darelli and Max Bingham each scored two goals in a 4-0 shutout of Cougars.

Westminster Men's Soccer at a Glance
The 2019 season is the 36th season of competition for the Westminster men's soccer program. The Griffins went 14-4-1 last season and 10-3-1 in conference play, their fourth season competing in the RMAC and against an NCAA Division II schedule.  Westminster made its first appearance in the RMAC Tournament in 2018.
 
Head coach Josh Pittman is in his fourth season at Westminster, and the Griffins' record has improved in each season during his tenure.
