SALT LAKE CITY—The Westminster men's lacrosse team (2-2) scored eight points in loss to Rollins College (4-1), 8-12.
 
Dylan Tuor scored Westminster's first goal to tie the game.  Following Tuor's goal, Nick Marcy put on past the Tar's keeper and the Griffins' took their only lead of the game, 2-1, with 4:29 left in the first period.  Rollins scored two more to finish the half in the lead, 3-2.
 
The Griffins took 35 shots over the final three periods but Rollins' goalie came up big making 15 saves to Deny the Griffins a chance at a comeback.
 
Nick Marcy and Kolton Atkinson looked sharp on offense.  Marcy scored one goal and recorded four assists, and Atkinson scored four times.  Spencer Whinery, Dylan Tyor and Dylan Brauer each netted once for the Griffins, and Cole Flinders tallied the team's only other assist.
 
Mitchell Senour and Chase Flinders led the team with five ground balls a piece.  Grant Phillips, Kyle Williams and Atkinson caused two turnovers a piece.
 
The Griffins head out to Forida for games against Florida Southern College on Wednesday and University of Tampa on Saturday.
