DURANGO, Colo. - Westminster women's volleyball lost the first match of its weekend road trip, falling to Fort Lewis College in five sets.
The Griffins (3-10, 0-5 RMAC) lost 3-2 (26-24, 18-25, 16-25, 25-23, 8-15). Westminster won the first set, lost the second and third sets, and won the fourth set to force the deciding fifth.
Audrey Green led Westminster with 17 kills, and
Sydnee Simmons added 14 while posting a team-high .429 hitting percentage.
Aggie Roese-Olsen had 34 assists, and
Hannah Stearman had 24 digs to lead the Griffins.
The Skyhawks got 18 kills from Bailey Longacre and 17 from Ohiyah Shirley.
Westminster will face Adams State on Saturday, October 5 at 5 p.m. The match will be streamed on the
RMAC Network.
