ALAMOSA, Colo.--Westminster men's soccer scored two goals to defeat Adams State University (ASU) and remain second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) standings.
Max Bingman was lethal in Sunday's win over the Girzzlies. Bingman finished 5-6 shots on goal and scored a brace in the 2-0 win. Bingman was assisted by
Adir Hazout on the the first shot of the game in the second minute.
Reid Arne assisted Bingman in the 51st minute for the second goal.
Westminster limited ASU to only two corner kicks and 3-14 shots on goal while shooting 9-17 and earning six corner kicks.
Goalkeeper Will Desanits and the defensive earned their 11th shutout of the season.
"The guys did a great job in difficult conditions," Head Coach
Josh Pittman said.
Max Bingman had two quality finished on two great crossed from Adir and Reid."
The Griffins return home for their final two home games of the regular season Friday against in-state rival Dixie State and Satruday against MSU Denver.
