SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster women's volleyball beat Montana Western in straight sets on Tuesday night at Behnken Field House for the Griffins' third win of the season.
"This was a solid effort all around," head coach
Karrin Moore said. "
Hannah Stearman stepped up big time on defense and
Audrey Green made big plays on offense and defense. We are excited to carry some momentum from tonight's win into the weekend."
The Griffins (3-9, 0-4 RMAC) picked up their third win of the season behind 18 kills on a .412 hitting percentage from Green, both season highs. Stearman's 19 digs led the team.
Lydia Miller contributed eight kills and
Aggie Roese-Olsen had 19 assists.
The 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-13) win broke an eight-game winless streak for the Griffins as they get set for two more RMAC matches this weekend against two teams that are winless in conference play – at Fort Lewis College on Friday and at Adams State on Saturday. Both games will be streamed live on the
RMAC Network.
