SALT LAKE CITY, Utah--The snowbanks piled high, around
Dumke Field, did little to affect the #3 University of Tampa Spartans (6-0) as they cruised to a 19-9 victory.
In the tenth minute of the first half,
Bridger Fisher scored Westminster's lone goal of the half, after receiving a well-timed pass from Lane
Kadish. The Spartans took control and scored eight goals to finish the half with a ten-point lead, 11-1.
Each team scored a goal to begin the third quarter, but Tampa maintained its strong hold of the game outscoring the Griffins 5-2.
Westminster's attack came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring six goals.
Nick Marcy jump started the attack scoring within the first minute of the quarter.

Sarjeant each scored a goal over the next four minutes.
The Spartans recovered and scored three more goals before
Kadish and Marcy scored two goals, in the final two minutes, finishing the game and closing the gap, 9-19.
Westminster took 33 shots and forced the Spartan goalies to make eight saves. The Griffins scored one man-up goal and shut the visitors out on their three man-up attempts. The Westminster goalies faced 41 shots and made 10 saves.
Kadish scored three goals and two assists for five points, leading but teams. Marcy and
Sarjeant each tallied three points. Marcy scored twice and added an assist, and
Sarjeant scored once and dished out two assists.

Beutler gathered three ground balls to lead the Griffins.

Grant Phillips each tallied two ground balls.

McFarlane faced 19 shots and made eight saves, recording a .421 save percentage.
The Griffins return to
Dumke Field on Saturday to take on
Maryville University. The game is scheduled to face-off at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on the
