Women's Lacrosse to Host Rockhurst on Thursday
The Westminster women's lacrosse team is back at Dumke Field on Thursday when they host Rockhurst in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game. Opening draw is slated for 4 p.m. as the two teams battle for a positioning in the RMAC Tournament.
Thursday's game will be carried live on the RMAC Network with David Winkworth calling the action. The RMAC Network is available online or by downloading the RMAC Network app on your Roku device. Live stats will also be available.
About the Griffins
Westminster enters Thursday at 5-3 overall this season after splitting two road games last weekend. They are 3-2 in RMAC action to currently sit tied with Rockhurst for the fifth position. The top six teams in the final standings qualify for the RMAC Tournament. The Griffins have gone 1-1 at home this season with Thursday the team's last home game until April 29.

Heiden Climbing
Kira Heiden leads the Griffins with 30 goals and 35 points this season. Her 3.75 goals per game lead the RMAC and would rank 13th in the NCAA. She is third in the conference and 44th nationally by scoring 4.38 points per game while sitting second in the RMAC by taking 6.13 shots per game. She has scored multiple goals in a game six times with at least four goals in five games. Heiden is fourth in school history with 130 goals and sits sixth with 34 assists and 164 points. She is second in team history with 148 draw controls.
Adams Streak
Katie Adams is second on the team with 25 goals and she ranks second in the RMAC by scoring 3.13 goals per game. When she did not score against Lindenwood, Adams finished tied for the second-longest goal scoring streak in team history with a goal in 27 consecutive games dating back to the 2015 season. Adams leads this year's team with five free-position goals, 20 ground balls, and 13 caused turnovers. Earlier this season she became the seventh Griffin to reach 100 career points and she is 12 goals away from becoming the seventh Griffin to score 100 career goals.
Bakarich Creating
Morgan Bakarich has at least one assist in all but one game this season and she leads the team with 20 assists. Her 2.50 assists per game lead the RMAC and would rank 16th in the NCAA if Westminster players were eligible for national rankings. Bakarich has added 13 goals to rank second on the team with 33 points. Her 4.13 points per game place fourth in the RMAC. Bakarich ranks fifth in school history with 45 assists and she is four points shy of becoming the eighth Griffin to record 100 career points.
Hekking Stopping
Taylor Hekking has started all eight games for the Griffins with 20 consecutive starts since joining the program last season. In 225 minutes this season, Hekking has made 53 saves for a .500 save percentage and 14.14 goals-against-average. She tallied a season-high 12 saves in the loss to Lindenwood on March 18 and is eighth in the RMAC by making 6.63 saves per game. Hekking ranks third in team history with 123 career saves.
