Griffins Host Regis in Saturday Home Game
The Westminster women's basketball team will play Regis on Saturday in the team's only game of the week. The action is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Behnken Field House. The game will be the second meeting this season between the two teams.

About the Griffins
Westminster is coming off is first weekend sweep of the season, including an upset of No. 3 CSU-Pueblo, as they are in the middle of a five-game homestand to close the season. The Griffins are 10-13 overall this season and 8-11 on RMAC play. They are 10th in the standings and one-game behind the No. 8 position. They have gone 5-4 at home this season.
Heading into Saturday, the Griffins are averaging 60.6 points per game and shooting 38.9 percent from the field. They rank seventh in the RMAC by shooting 32.0 percent from beyond the arc while making 6.9 threes per game. The team is fourth in the conference by shooting 73.6 percent at the foul line.
Sydnee Taylor leads the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game with 253 total points.
Aubrie Vale adds 10.3 points per game with a team-high 39 made 3-pointers.
Denise Gonzalez is third on the team at 8.0 points per night. Vale is shooting a team-leading 87.8 percent at the foul line.

Sydnee Taylor currently leads the Griffins in scoring at 11.5 points per game and she has scored in double figures 13 times. Taylor has led the Griffins in scoring during six games this season with three 20-point performances. She is shooting 40.7 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from beyond the arc with 30 makes. Taylor is second on the team with 90 rebounds while adding 39 assists and 20 steals.
Vale's Value
Aubrie Vale is second on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game and she has scored in double figures 13 times. She has tallied two 20-point outing and been the team's leading scorer in six games. Vale leads the Griffins with 142 rebounds and 65 assists while adding 34 steals. She has four double-doubles this season and shoots 36.5 percent from the floor and 32.2 percent from three. Earlier this season, Vale became the 27th player in school history to reach 500 career points as a Griffin. She had a season-high 27 points with seven 3-pointers – one shy of the school record – in the Griffins upset of CSU-Pueblo.

Denise Gonzalez is scoring 8.0 points per game to rank third on the team. She leads the Griffins with 36 steals and is ninth in the RMAC at 1.6 steals per game. Gonzalez has at least one steal in all but four games this season with multiple steals in a game 12 times. She currently ranks 24th in team history with 76 steals during her two seasons with the Griffins.
Williams Rolling
Sicilee Williams has been a steady performer for the Griffins all season and enters the weekend averaging 7.2 points per game. Williams scored in double figures in three of the past four games and six times overall this season. She is shooting 37.8 percent from beyond the arc and has a made 3-pointer in nine straight games. Williams shoots 85.0 percent at the foul line and has recorded 22 assists and 15 steals.
