THE AGENDAThe Westminster women's lacrosse team will spend the weekend in Colorado to play a pair of games against teams they played last week in Salt Lake City. Westminster will visit CSU-Pueblo in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game on Saturday. The Griffins will then play at Fort Lewis in a non-conference game on Sunday.
Both games this weekend will begin at 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE GRIFFINSWestminster heads into the weekend at 2-4 overall this season and 2-2 in RMAC play. They are currently tied for fourth in the conference standings with three RMAC game remaining. The Griffins are 1-2 on the road this season.
ON OFFENSEThe Griffins are averaging 13.00 goals per game to rank sixth in the RMAC and they are fifth in the conference by taking 27.0 shots per game. The team ranks fourth in the RMAC by scoring on 48.1 percent of its shot attempts and they put 85.2 percent of their attempts on cage. The Griffins have scored on 12 of 31 free-position chances.
Kira Heiden leads the RMAC and would rank 10th in the NCAA by scoring 4.0 goals per game. Her 24 goals have come via a hat trick in five of the team's six games played. Heiden also ranks first in the conference at 4.67 points per game and third by taking 6.5 shots per game.
Katie Adams is ninth in the league by scoring 2.5 goals per game and she leads the RMAC in shots at 6.67 per contest.
ON DEFENSEWestminster ranks seventh in the RMAC with a 13.17 goals-against-average and they have allowed at least 12 goals in all but one game this season. Opponents are taking 26.8 shots per game with 77.0 percent of those attempts on cage. The Griffins have forced 129 opponent turnovers and they have 90 draw controls while allowing 79.
Heiden leads the team with 23 draw controls and she is second in the RMAC by grabbing 3.83 draws per game.
Madison Ingman gets 3.17 draws per contest to rank seventh in the league while Adams is 10th at 2.67. Adams ranks third by picking up 3.33 ground balls per game. Adams and
Daisy Mele average 1.67 caused turnovers per game to rank tied for sixth in the conference.
IN CAGEThe Griffins average 7.50 saves per game to place fourth in the RMAC. The team is eighth in the conference with its .363 save percentage while sitting seventh in GAA.
Taylor Hekking has started all six games in cage and made 36 saves. She is seventh in the RMAC by averaging 6.0 saves per game. Hekking has a .333 save percentage and 14.49 goals-against-average.
Caitlyn Laffey has played in three games with nine saves, .562 save percentage, and 6.79 GAA.
ALL STREAKS MUST ENDKira Heiden had her streak of 27 consecutive games with a goal come to an end in the Griffins loss at Lindenwood on March 8. The streak ended as the second-longest goal scoring streak in team history. She also finished with the fourth-longest streak of consecutive games with a point at 28-straight games.
AND SOME CONTINUEKatie Adams has scored a goal in all six games this season and in 17 straight dating back to last season. That is tied for the fifth-longest such streak in team history. Adams span of 17 straight games with a point is the sixth-longest point streak in school history.
IN THE CLUBDuring her seven-goal outing at Rockuhurst on March 6, Heiden became the sixth Griffin all-time to reach 100 career points. The junior has piled up 117 points as a Griffin and she is sixth in team history with 91 career goals. She also ranks seventh all-time in assists (26), sixth in shots (150), and third in draw controls (91).
RMAC TAKING NOTICEIn their first season playing in the RMAC, the Griffins have been making a name for themselves. Of the first six player of the week awards given by the league this season, three of them went to Griffins. Heiden has twice been named the offensive player of the week – February 23 and March 8 – and
Taylor Hekking claimed the defensive award on March 8.
