Griffins on Road for Two RMAC Games
The Westminster women's basketball team will spend the weekend on the road as they open a five-game road swing with Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games at New Mexico Highlands and Colorado State-Pueblo. The Griffins will be in Las Vegas, N.M. for a 5 p.m. MST game on Friday. They will then be in Pueblo, Colo. for a 5:30 p.m. MST game on Saturday.

About the Griffins
Westminster will take to the road for its first conference road games of the season at 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Griffins have gone 1-1 in road games and 1-2 in all games played away from the Behnken Field House.
They will start the road trip averaging 61.8 points per game and shooting 41.4 percent from the field. They rank fifth in the conference in field goal percentage and also in 3-point field goal percentage at 34.1 percent. Their 7.3 made threes per game is third-best in the RMAC.
Sydnee Taylor is the team's leading scorer at 13.0 points per game. Denise Gonzaelez is adding 10.5 points per game. Taylor also leads the squad with 11 made triples and is shooting 91.7 percent at the foul line.
Westminster opponents are scoring 64.7 points per game and shooting 42.7 percent from the floor. They average 33.5 rebounds per game and are second in the RMAC by holding the opposition to 32.7 rebounds per game. The Griffins average 11.5 assists and 7.17 steals per game.
Aubrie Vale leads the Griffins with 27 rebounds and 19 assists. Gonzalez gets 2.5 steals per game to rank second in the RMAC in that department. Taylor has a team-leading two blocked shots.

• N.M. Highlands enters Friday's game at 2-5 overall and 1-2 in RMAC action.
• The Cowgirls are 1-2 at home this season and have dropped four of five games overall.
• They were defeated at home by CSU-Pueblo, 73-48, on Tuesday night.
• Westminster is 1-0 all-time against Highlands.
• That win was a 75-68 decision last February in New Mexico.

• CSU-Pueblo is 9-0 overall and 3-0 in RMAC play.
• The ThunderWolves are 4-0 at home this season.
• They are ranked No. 9 in the WBCA coaches' poll and No. 11 in the CoSIDA media poll.
• CSUP won the only previous meeting in the series, 66-62, last January in Salt Lake City.
