Road Swing Continues This Weekend
The Westminster women's basketball team returns to Colorado for a second straight weekend to play a pair Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games. The Griffins will be in Alamosa, Colo., on Friday to face Adams State in an afternoon game at 1 p.m. MST. They will then complete the weekend on Saturday at Fort Lewis for a 5:30 p.m. MST in Durango, Colo.

About the Griffins
Westminster starts the week at 4-4 overall this season. They are currently in the eighth position in the RMAC standings with a 2-2 mark in conference play. The Griffins are 2-2 on the road and have split their two games in each of the past two weekends.
The Griffins enter the week averaging 60.6 points per game which ranks 10th in the RMAC. They are sixth in the league by shooting 40.1 percent from the field and they are fourth by making 33.3 percent from beyond the arc. Westminster leads the conference in foul shooting by making 83.3 percent and rank fourth in the NCAA.
Sydnee Taylor leads the team in scoring at 13.0 points per game. She is seventh in the league with that average and also sits eighth by shooting 46.3 percent from the field.
Denise Gonzalez averages 9.4 points per game to place second on the team.
Riley Reidhead is shooting 47.6 percent from beyond the arc to lead the RMAC.
Westminster opponents are scoring 63.5 points per game and shooting 42.0 percent. The Griffins are grabbing 32.5 rebounds per game and have a negative-1.9 rebounding margin. They distribute 11.1 assists per game and are fifth in the RMAC at 8.1 steals per game.

The Griffins are also shooting it well from beyond the arc. They make 7.5 threes per game to sit third in the conference while sitting fourth by hitting 33.3 percent from deep. They have hit at least six triples in every game and have connected on nine 3-pointers in three different outings.

Sydnee Taylor is the Griffins' leading scorer through four games at 13.0 points per game. Taylor is seventh in the RMAC with that average and she is eighth in the conference by shooting 46.3 percent from the field. Taylor has scored in double figures six times, including a pair of 20-point performances.
Triple Threat
Aubrie Vale is scoring 8.1 points per game to rank third in the team. She has scored in double figures three times and has scored 14 on two occasions. Vale also leads the team by grabbing 4.4 rebounds per game and with 28 assists. She is currently sixth in the RMAC at 3.5 assists per game and tied for sixth by getting 1.8 steals.

Denise Gonzalez ranks second on the team by scoring 9.4 points per game and she has scored in double figures in two games. Gonzalez has a steal in every game this season and has recoded multiple steals seven times. She leads the RMAC at 2.4 steals per game and has twice got four steals in a contest.
