Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Westminster women's lacrosse team completed a sweep of their two-game road swing by defeating Wentworth Institute of Technology, 22-5, on Tuesday afternoon.
Westminster improves to 3-2 overall this season with the win.
Maggie HerrNeckar led Westminster with six goals in the win and she also tallied a pair of assists.
Morgan Bakarich added three goals and three assists while
Abby Sebastian finished with one goal and three assists.
Katie Adams,
Maddie Haynes, and
Kira Heiden scored three goals apiece.
Makenzie Hekking earned the win in cage by making seven saves.
"The team played hard though the entire game," Westminster head coach
Niki Harding said of her team's effort. "They kept their composure and were able to get another great win on the road."
The Griffins will now play four of their final five games at home. The first of that span comes on March 20 when they welcome Brigham Young to Dumke Field at 5:30 p.m. (MT).
