SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster women's volleyball dropped a tight four set match to Colorado Christian on Senior Night in the Behnken Field House.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match featured 29 ties and 11 lead changes in the 25-21, 25-20, 13-25, 25-20 win by Colorado Christian.

It was senior
Alyse Horton that gave Westminster (7-18, 4-13 RMAC) a big night in her final home match. She filled the box score with 11 kills and .273 hitting while adding 11 digs, two service aces and a career high seven blocks.

That effort wouldn't be enough as CCU (13-14, 8-9) banged 55 kills and hit .205 in holding the Griffins to .140 hitting and only 45 kills. Westminster wasn't able to take advantage of eight service aces and 62 digs and 10 blocks. They also hit .448 in the third set while getting 13 kills with zero hitting errors.

Amara Culpepper added 14 kills and three digs for the Griffins. Seniors
Jessica Chellsen finished with eight kills and
Jaden Green tallied 11 digs and two aces.
Megan Gallegos had 15 digs and
Taylor Gustafson posted 37 assists and 10 digs.

Hope Baldrica led the visiting Cougars with 15 kills and .778 hitting with eight blocks. Mollie Bailey added 11 kills and Joelle LeFevre had 23 digs.

Westminster has two matches remaining this season with the first of those coming at Colorado Mesa on November 13 in Grand Junction, Colo.
