GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Westminster women's volleyball team completed its first season of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 loss at Colorado Mesa University on Friday night at Brownson Arena.

Westminster (7-19, 4-14 RMAC) was looking for a season sweep of Colorado Mesa (16-10, 14-4) after winning the match played in Salt Lake City on September 22. CMU didn't allow that to happen with a 25-22, 26-24, 25-16 win.

The Griffins weren't able to keep up with the offensive attack of the home squad as CMU finished the night with 53 kills. The Griffins only managed 28 kills, but kept the match close with a 12-3 edge in blocks.

Alyse Hortion and
Amara Culpepper had eight kills apiece to lead the Griffins. Horton hit .381 with zero hitting errors, 11 digs and three blocks.
Katie Allen added five kills and five blocks.

CMU had four players in double figures in kills with Caitie Breaux leading the team with 12.

Westminster will complete its season on Wednesday when they travel to St. George, Utah, to face in-state rival Dixie State.
