SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster men's basketball team will travel to Dillon, Mont. for a game at No. 9 Montana Western on Saturday. The only game of the week for the Griffins will begin at 4 p.m. MT from Straugh Gymnasium.

Griffin Fast Break: Westminster begins their first conference road trip at 8-7 overall this season and they sit at 1-1 in Frontier Conference action. They have won eight of the past 10 games played and three straight away from home – all neutral site contests.

Offense Notebook: The Griffins take a scoring average of 78.13 points per game to Dillon and they rank 38th in the NAIA in scoring average. They have scored at least 80 points in a game seven times and twice they topped 100 points in a game. The team shoots 45.7 percent from the field – 34th in the NAIA – and they sit 23th in the country by making 37.7 percent from beyond the arc. The Griffins average 15.60 assists per contest with a 1.08 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Defense Notebook: Westminster is holding the opposition to 72.60 points per game and allowing just 45.2 percent shooting from the field. Opponents make 34.3 percent from beyond the arc while committing 16.9 turnovers per game. The Griffins place 24th in the nation at 8.93 steals per game while recording 2.20 blocks per night.

Leaders: Four Griffins are averaging double figures in points on the year with
Jordan Pryor leads the way at 13.3 per night.
Kenny Woodard is scoring 12.7 per game and he leads the team with 43 assists.
Quincy Bair adds 12.1 points per night with
Casey Evans adding 10.1 points and a team-best 11 blocks.
Nick Jenson has grabbed a team-best 107 rebounds and
Colton Moon is tops on the team with 33 steals.

Looking Back: Westminster split a pair of home conference game last week. They fell to Carroll (Mont.), 67-65, when Zach Taylor made a jumper with 0.4 seconds on the clock. The Griffins then rallied in the second half for a 91-85 win over then-No. 18 Rocky Mountain (Mont.).

Home Dominance: Westminster has been tough to beat in the Behnken Field House since it opened in 2006. While the Griffins have always been good at home, going 169-34 (.833) since the program was reinstated in 1999, they have compiled a 104-19 (.846) mark in their current home. The Griffins are 5-4 in the Behnken Field House this season.

Bombs Away: The Griffins have been taking advantage of the 3-point line this season, ranking 20th in the NAIA by making 8.27 triples per game. They shoot 37.7 percent from beyond the arc to rank 23rd in the nation. The team scores 31.7 percent of their total points from deep while making at least seven treys in a game 12 times. Pryor leads the team by making 2.73 threes per game – 19th in the nation – and he is 37th nationally by shooting 42.7 percent from three.

Inside the Metrics: Westminster has been trending upward in its offensive efficiency during the past 10 games. For the season, Westminster is scoring 105.6 points per 100 possessions while averaging 74 possessions per game. They are allowing the opposition to score 98.2 points per 100 possessions.

Performance from Pryor: Jordan Pryor was named preseason all-conference after being selected as the Frontier Sixth-Man of the Year last season. Pryor is currently scoring a team-best 13.33 points per game and making 2.37 threes per outing to lead the Frontier Conference. He has scored in double figures 10 times on the year and had a career-high 27 points with six threes against Concordia-Alberta on Dec. 19.

Spark off the Bench: Kenny Woodard has given the team a scoring spark off the bench this season. He is currently second on the team in scoring at 12.7 points per night and he is averaging 13.4 points per game since he started coming off the bench. Woodard has scored in double figures 11 times on the year and he also leads the team with 43 assists. He shoots 89 percent at the foul line to rank fifth in the NAIA.

Balance from Bair: Quincy Bair has been the most all-around player for the Griffins this season and he currently scores 12.1 points per game. The junior is shooting 48.8 percent from the field and he has scored in double figures 11 times. He has 14 threes and shoots 46.7 percent from beyond the arc while also grabbing 2.9 rebounds per contest. Bair has added 30 assists, 18 steals and six block shots to his stat line.

Crashing Jenson: Nick Jenson is averaging 8.4 points per game this season and he leads all Griffins with 107 rebounds. His 7.13 rebounds per game is fourth in the Frontier Conference and he is 38th in the nation by pulling 5.13 defensive boards per game while also getting 2.0 offensive rebounds per night. Jenson is shooting 57.1 percent from the floor on the year and has recorded two double-doubles. He ranks 10th in school history with 103 offensive rebounds and is currently 12th all-time with 292 total rebounds.

Shoot the Moon: Colton Moon plays his senior season among the top 10 in school history in six statistical categories. He currently sits fifth in school history in made threes (133) and attempted threes (339). Moon ranks seventh all-time with 207 assists and his 140 career steals rank fourth in school history. This season, Moon is 15th in the country with 33 steals and 17th by averaging 2.20 steals per game. He is on pace to become the school's all-time steals leader before the end of the regular season.

Eyes on Evans: Casey Evans has transitioned into the starting lineup this season and is currently averaging 10.1 points per game. The sophomore shoots 55.6 percent from the field and he has made 10 threes while shooting 45.5 percent from deep. He has scored in double figures nine times while grabbing 4.4 rebounds per night. Evans leads the team with 11 blocked shots and he has 24 assists and 18 steals. He scored a career-high 20 points with seven rebounds against Rocky Mountain on Jan. 10.
