LAS VEGAS – The 15th-ranked Westminster men's basketball team suffered a winless weekend in Las Vegas as they dropped a pair of games at the Las Vegas Tipoff. On Friday, Westminster fell to No. 1 Vanguard (Calif.), 74-62. They then lost a 67-52 decision to Concordia (Calif.) on Saturday afternoon.

The Griffins fall to 0-4 on the season with the two losses and they are off to the worst start to a season in school history.

Westminster played the nation's No. 1 team close on Friday night, but they were done in by 20 turnovers which resulted in 24 points for Vanguard.
Kenny Woodard led the Griffins with 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the loss.

On Saturday, it was a dismal first half that buried the Griffins. They only scored 11 points in the first 20 minutes and couldn't recover.

The Griffins will spend next weekend in Idaho for a pair of games. The first comes at College of Idaho on Nov. 21 in Caldwell, Idaho at 7 p.m. MT.
