SALT LAKE CITY – The 16th-ranked Westminster College women's lacrosse team will play its official home opener on Friday afternoon when they host Utah Valley at Dumke Field beginning at 4 p.m.

Westminster enters the game with a 3-2 record after dropping a 13-11 decision to Colorado Mesa last Saturday. The Griffins began the year by going 3-1 at the Santa Barbara Shootout, picking up wins over Western Washington, Washington and UC San Diego.

The Griffins are 2-0 all-time against Utah Valley. Both of those wins came last season, including a 21-5 decision at Dumke Field in the semi-finals of last year's Rocky Mountain Women's Lacrosse League Tournament.
