Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Westminster College women's lacrosse team began the 2013 season by splitting two games at the Santa Barbara Shootout on Friday. 

Westminster opened the year with a 16-6 win against Western Washington. This was the first game as a Division I member of the Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Associates for the Griffins.  Westminster would fall in the nightcap, 11-8, to Minnesota.

The Griffins will complete the opening weekend trip on Saturday with two games. They face Washington at 1 p.m. and then play UC-San Diego at 4 p.m.
