Box Score OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Westminster women's basketball team won its second consecutive game on Saturday night, this time a 74-55 defeat of Northwest (Wash.) at the Evergreen State Thanksgiving Tournament. Westminster started the game strong and carried a 39-24 lead into halftime. The win improves the Griffins to 6-4 on the year and drops Northwest to 3-3.
Nicole Yazzie led Westminster with 25 points off the bench. Yazzie shot 8-of-12 from the floor and connected twice from beyond the arc.
McKenzie Jessop scored just five points, but had eight rebounds, six assists, and four steals.
Keshia Catten added 15 points.
Next for Westminster is a Thursday night game against Northern New Mexico in the Behnken Field House. That game will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is the first of three games in three days for the Griffins.
