Westminster University Hall of Fame
Rex Macey grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from Highland High School. After high school Macey chose to attend Westminster College and played football for the Parsons from 1972 to 1977. As a junior in 1976, Macey was named a first-team Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference performer for his play as a wide receiver. In 1977, he was the first Westminster football player to be named an NAIA First-Team All-American and Kodak All-American. He was also named First-Team RMAC All-Conference for a second consecutive year and was the RMAC receptions leader. Macey was also the NAIA All-Time Receptions Leader in 1977.
Macey coached high school football for 25 years and baseball for one year. He retired from his first profession, but is currently working as an administrator at a Federal Halfway House. He and his wife, Heidi, have four children.
