Elsa Gilmore is from San Juan Capistrano, California, where she played at San Juan Hills High School. She won 18s gold at the Nashville qualifier as a junior, earned JV MVP honors, won a league title as a senior, and was named Block of the Week twice by California Volleyball.
She is majoring in Education. Gilmore chose Westminster because it aligned with both her academic and athletic goals, offered the chance to keep competing collegiately while finishing her degree, and connected her to friends already in the Salt Lake City area.

Her goals after college include traveling extensively, becoming a fourth-grade teacher, and coaching a club volleyball team of her own.Â
