Biography

Tiia Heikkinen (pronounced: Thea), is from Vuokatti, Finland, where she played at Mäkelänrinteen Lukio. She finished eighth at the 2022 U19 European Championships and won gold with Finland at the 2022 Nevza U19 tournament.

She is pursuing a Custom Major. Heikkinen chose Westminster for the positive feeling she got from the environment, strong calls with the coaching staff, and a welcoming campus.

Family: parents Larissa Tammis and Petri Heikkinen.

Her goals after college are to play professional volleyball in Europe, earn a master's degree in nutrition, and represent Finland's senior national team. 

Favorite athletes: Kaisa Alanko and Lauren Carlini.
