Westminster University Athletics

Former Utah Mr. Basketball and Gatorade Player of the Year Quentin Meza has officially signed with Westminster University and will spend his senior season with the Griffins.

Meza began his collegiate career at Wofford College and later transferred to Idaho State University appearing in a combined 53 games at the Division I level.

This past season, Meza starred for Hawaii Pacific University, helping lead the Sharks to the NCAA Division II Tournament and earning Second Team All-PacWest honors. He averaged 15.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game while emerging as one of the conference’s top guards. Meza also played a key role in Hawaii Pacific’s season-opening upset of Boise State University, scoring 14 points in a 79-78 victory.

A native of West Valley City, Meza enjoyed a historic high school career at Cyprus High School. As a senior, he led the Pirates to a 23-5 record and a berth in the 6A state semifinals while averaging 24.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. Meza became just the eighth player in Utah history to surpass 2,000 career points
